Yo Yo Honey Singh raised the bar for himself and the music industry after he dropped his chartbuster song Desi Kalakaar. Well, fans definitely couldn’t stop grooving to it! Now, following nine long years, the rapper and music icon has returned with a second version of the hit track titled Kalaastar, and he reunited with Bollywood star Sonakshi Sinha, who was also featured in the music video of the original track.
The rapper-singer has shared the major development while announcing the big news online and called it the ‘second chapter’.
Yo Yo Honey Singh, legally known as Hirdesh Singh, dropped the teaser of the song earlier. The glimpse into the song is set in a prison, and it features the rapper as a convict who is set free, and the teaser also gives a glimpse of Sonakshi Sinha as he holds him at gunpoint.
Kalaastar’s lyrics have been penned by Rony Ajnali, and Gill Machhrai while the music is composed by Bass Yogi. The song has been backed by the music label Zee Music Company.
However, amid all the anticipation, the singer has not yet revealed the release date for the song.
Sharing the teaser, Yo Yo Honey Singh wrote, “It’s been 9 long years but the wait is over! #YoYoHoneySingh is all set to unveil #Kalaastar, the second chapter ft. #AsliSona. Teaser out now (sic).”
Meanwhile, fans are eagerly waiting for the song’s release. A social media user took to the comments section and wrote, “Legendary and irreplaceable!!! Can’t wait for this.” While another described it as a ‘comeback on point’.
For those unaware, Yo Yo Honey Singh dropped the single Desi Kalaakar in 2014. The titular track became one of his most popular songs and also featured Sonakshi Sinha. The song found a spot on the playlist of several house parties, events, road trips, and fun gatherings. The song was released under the banner of T-Series.
